Artist Talk: Acey, Blanchard, Lunsford, Makon

A conversation centered on Memories and Personal Journeys

Join us for a lively discourse about how memories and travel impact these 440 Gallery artists’ work, process and technique. Abstract artist Jo-Ann Acey will discuss her solo show Swing and how memories of certain music influenced her new work; painter Nancy Lunsford will delve into her recent residency in China and the portraits that resulted from her experience there; watercolorist Joy Makon will talk about how travel motivates her to begin new paintings; and collaborative partners Leigh Blanchard and Nathan Dennis will share their experience of working together on a new creative endeavor.

The discussion will be moderated by gallery director, Amy Williams, and audience participation is encouraged.
