We’re exploring ways to wrap up things on a sweet note with a Spoken Word Reading x Two followed by a closing reception for Amy Weil’s show, Dislocation.

Nicole Callihan is a poet, professor and dealer in fragile things. She writes nonfiction, mostly about what it means to be a woman, sometimes about what it means to be a mother and a wife, always about what it means to be a human in a body. Her latest novella, The Couples, was published by Mason Jar Press in Summer 2019. Find out more about Callihan at www.nicolecallihan.com.

Writer/Musician Phyllis Capello sang her way from Ireland to Istanbul as an entertainer and instructor on seven educational family cruises. Her fiction and poetry has been recognized by the New York Foundation for the Arts and the Allen Ginsberg Poetry Award. Her newest collection, Packs Small Plays Big, was published in 2018 by Bordighera Press. Through one-woman shows and family-oriented concerts, Capello has entertained children, families & seniors as a member of the Big Apple Circus Clown Care program and Healthy Humor.
